Microsoft launch Zune

In November 2006, Microsoft launched Zune in the US - a media player set to compete against the dominant iPod.

Flaws in the plan soon emerged

It didn't take the community long to capitalise on one current flaw of the product: according to their support documentation the product is not compatible with the soon to be release Microsoft Vista operating system.

Easy or hard to fix?

The issue now is not how easy or hard it may be to fix, but more of how this may effect the reputation of the Zune media player. It could prove to be their downfall.

This is a good example of why compatibility testing is important!
