Joe Clark and the Open and Closed Project

Help improve accessibility standards by supporting Joe Clark.

Joe Clark is well recognised in the web and accessibility space. He has ambitions to set up a research project:

• The main goal is to write a set of standards for the four fields of accessible media – captioning, audio description, subtitling, and dubbing.
• Standards created will be tested for a year in the real world.
• The project will be open and standards available for free download (or purchase in different formats).
• Training and certification will be developed.

How to help?

Joe Clark needs to raise $7 million (Canadian dollars). Luckily he is not asking us for that amount. He has the belief he can raise the money himself, however he needs to $7,777 Canadian dollars to support himself for the next four months whilst he raises the $7 million for the official project.

• Promote his cause through banners .
